Kay grew up in Seattle with a stage in her basement and a big dirt-hill next door. In these playgrounds she re-created Cinderella, Tarzan, The Lost Boys and Little Women. Her explorations in the-land-of-make-believe are put on hold by the onset of adulthood where she studies linguistics, experiences travel overseas, and commits to marriage and raising two girls. Kay realizes there is more to life than meets the eye and dives back into acting through improvisation workshops with Gary Austin, creator of the Groundlings. Kay also has the privilege of studying with Carol Fox Prescott, New York acting instructor , Steven Anderson, Los Angeles acting coach, and Artistic New Directions in New York where she created her solo show My Beloveds. She currently is developing an improvised solo show, NowHere, directed by Gary Austin.  Kay’s most recent participation in Revelation has been a challenging journey with improvisation, writing, movement, and music. As a direct extension of Kay’s training and experience she founded Wake Up Your Work where she teaches acting/improvisation.
